The colour is ruby red with garnet reflections. Intense aromas of berries on the nose with spicy and tobacco notes. In the mouth it is dry, warm, tannic and harmonious. The Cantina Sociale Guardiense is in Santa Lucia di Guardia Sanframondi (BN); the vineyards and cellars, spread over approximately 1,500 hectares, are in the heart of the Sannio Beneventano area. Founded in the 60s by about thirty winemakers, today it has about 1000 members and represents one of the most important wine cooperatives in Campania and the South; about 140,000 hectoliters of wine are produced from the vineyards for about 5 million bottles sold in Italy and in the main international markets. All productions are inspired by a principle of environmental sustainability; the work processes use renewable energy from its own photovoltaic system and the Cellar proposes itself as an active sponsor of the Samnite food and wine culture.
